Making a Difference Award

In 2011 Ardoch celebrated its inaugural Kathy Hilton Making a Difference (M.A.D) Award, which aimed to reward and encourage primary and secondary school students who make an effort to support and improve the communities in which they live.The award was named in honour of Ardoch's founder Kathy Hilton, and her tireless efforts to make a difference in the community. The award targeted students from Ardoch's partner schools, selecting students who made a real difference to their community.

In December 2010, 38 students were announced as being the first M.A.D Award Winners. As a part of the M.A.D Award each student received $50 to give back to the community and to continue their efforts to make a difference.
