As well as providing opportunities for individuals to volunteer, the Ardoch Project offers tailored training options for corporations and secondary school students.
Currently Ardoch has over 300 volunteers providing both educational and emotional support to young people and families. Last year over 30,000 volunteer hours were contributed to making a difference to the lives of so many. In financial terms this is a contribution of over $500,000.
Options for Involvement:
Ardoch Volunteers work in a range of settings at early childhood centres, primary and secondary schools and at the Ardoch Education Support Centre. Ardoch is committed to providing our volunteers with ongoing learning opportunities and ensuring their volunteering experience is both rewarding and enjoyable.
Some areas volunteers may be involved in are:

With the assistance of our program evaluations, Ardoch has continued to improve the training and support of volunteers and tailors training to meet the needs of different groups of volunteers. Currently, Ardoch has over 300 community volunteers from a variety of of all backgrounds and ages.
All prospective volunteers are invited to meet with the Ardoch Volunteers Coordinator to better understand the work of the Ardoch Youth Foundation, learn more about volunteering opportunities, talk about their own areas of interest. The Ardoch Volunteers Coordinator is dedicated to facilitating a rewarding experience for volunteers and taking care of their needs or concerns, overseeing volunteer involvement and maintaining ongoing communication.
All interested volunteers will need to pass through the Ardoch Volunteer recruitment process outlined below:
- Register interest in becoming an Ardoch Volunteer click here
- Completion of Ardoch Volunteer application form - click here to download application form
- Informal interview
- Police check
- Working with Children check

Depending on the area of volunteering, volunteers will always be thoroughly inducted into their school or area. The Volunteers Coordinator, together with the relevant Project Coordinator, monitors volunteer progress, involvement and offers debriefing opportunities.
